    I Love your avatar.

My faith comes from an inner yearning I can't explain. Call it a hole, or call it a Whole, I desire to be a part of that Whole.

I believe we all have that yearning to be with God and when we get side-tracked it leads to addictions and other negative behaviors and such to fill the void.

It's fine to fill a hole in the soul if that's what you think is wrong. I don't find life to be empty or tedious and I'm not concerned at all about what my purpose is. I look at her feeling of enlightenment from knowing there would always be something unknowable similar to the way I look at love, I'm sure the brain chemistry is similar. She totally misses the fact that we are truly alive, to me that is the most wonderful fact of all. Reason and knowledge are the keys to truth. Faith is for those who need it, I am not one of them.

"But when it comes to explaining what's often described as the "God-shaped hole" in our lives, neither quantum physicists nor geneticists nor neuropsychologists appear to quite have the measure of it."
