How short are you thinking of going?

I went through the same issue - and made many mistakes.

Short hair cuts work GREAT with curly hair, as long as you get enough layering.

But to make it even better, we should tackle the "puffy" problem.

I want to shorten my hair a lot, but I'm a fat women with a chubby face and my hair is naturally very curly (and it gets pretty puffy too). I'm worried that if I cut my hair really short, I'll end up with Orphan Annie hair. Any suggestions?

That is the same kind of hair I have. I have it cut short now, but when it was long I had it cut in layers and just let it hang in waves and ringlets. That is the only style my hair would have. I was never very happy with my long hair and always felt like it looked messy 15 minutes after I had spent an hour trying to "style" it. Now I have it real short. It always looks neat, but not pretty and long like I have always wanted it to be. Good luck!
