Why does the BCS exist?
Why can't they just use a playoff bracket like any other sport? It's really sad that peoples' opinions are the basis of how a team ranks and theres way too many "upsets" to actually determine that a team is THAT good.
Do you like or hate the BCS ranking system?

i despise the Bullsh*t Championship System. It is the only system in any sport (even the I-AA schools have a playoff!). There have been so many years that this system screwed so many deserving teams out of a national championship.
It should be a playoff. How can one say that there's no true champion in a playoff system?? If you're the best, prove it! Or else go home!

Im actually in favor of it. Once you have a play off bracket you give over 90% of smaller teams nothing to play for, making their program a waste of time. For example, Tulsa knows they will likely not win a NC anytime soon, but why not shoot for a good bowl win at the Liberty bowl or New Orleans bowl? Instead teams like Tulsa, Fresno State, Tulane, Army, Air Force will become very unpopular due to the fact that their season is literally a waste of time and money due to the fact that there is no chance in hevan or hell of them getting into the play offs, even with a 10-2 record. Sooner or later these programs will die out virtually destroying college football in my opinion due to a lack of popularity. Sure, tiger fans, gator fans, sooner fans and all of the other poerhouses will be excited every season, but the little schools help make college football what it is as well. Playoffs are just an overall bad idea in my opinion

Football is different than Basketball. a playoff would not work, because injuries are way more common.
lets use this for an example, we have a playoff system and Florida gets Boise in the !st round. Tebow gets his leg broken , Demps gets a concussion, and cooper pulls a ham string. Florida wins the game and goes to the Finals undefeated minus 3 big weapons
LSU (who for the sake of argument) also makes the finals Florida beat them soundly earlier, and they have 2 loses, but no injuries
LSU then beats Florida by one point. IS LSU the Champ? Florida beat them head to head, and would not beat Florida at full strength.
You now have an even bigger mess than the BCS.

I like it.
I wouldn't change it. Playoffs would ruin the competitiveness of college football especially late in the season.
Imagine if a team clinched a playoff spot, then they would take all their starters out and it just wouldn't be as good.
I know many people have a lot of problems with it, but I think it's basically a good system.

I like it but I don't like the fact of peoples opinions to choose the ranking and which team goes to which bowl
