What is your favorite bible translation?

Mine is the NRSV, it is very accurate and taken from original manuscripts. Please name yours and tell why.

Peace!

The New Jerusalem Bible - even better than the NRSV. Here are some of the reasons why

In my opinion, the NJB is still the most accurate English translation available. I would place the NRSV probably third (after the REB).

New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures because it accurately and faithfully conforms to the spirit of the original languages of Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic.

I also like the New Jerusalem Bible, and other modern-language translations. I use many of the older versions also, such as

King James, Douay-Rheims, Darby Translation, etc.

My favorite is the New World Translation - accurate, uses God's personal name where it is in the manuscripts.

But I enjoy the good points of many other translations, both older and newer.

I like the New American and New Jerusalem translations.

They are both well researched translations.

ESV just because my native language isnt english, but i love KJV the best

It is best to learn the original languages and then read them the way they were given to us. ;)

KJV has many flaws that I don't like. NIV or ESV are my favs. STAY AWAY FROM THE MESSAGE!

ESV - Combines accuracy with readability.
