    1. “Universal public education is the most corroding and disintegrating poison that liberalism has ever invented for its own destruction.” ... Strongly AGREE. In theory, the concept of free public education for all seems a fair one and a good idea, but in practice, the public education system is so tainted by political agenda, and so incapable of meeting the needs of children as individuals, that I will not send my kids to public schools. They are privately educated in schools where important traditions are taught BUT independant thought is also genuinely actively encouraged and embraced. And the curriculum is flexible enough to allow kids who need help to be scaffolded to success, and gifted children to absolutely shine.

    2. “My Country is under the special protection of God.” ... Well, I believe God loves the world, the WHOLE world. I do not believe that God would support gross inequalities and injustices between countries. And I most certainly do not believe there's any validity whatsoever in any country claiming that they are obeying "the will of God" in brutally destroying their enemies.

    4. “Strength lies not in defense but in attack.” ... Strongly DISAGREE. I hate this saying actually. I think it's an excuse to bully.

    5. “We should condemn homosexuality and other sexually deviant behaviors as the perversion they are.” ... Well, "sexually deviant behaviours" encompasses a wide range of perversions, including paedophilia and bestiality, so yes of course I think they should be condemned!! I do not think this is an excuse to attack homosexual people though, but neither do I think we should automatically bow to pressure from minority groups, just because it's seen as the politically correct thing to do. Sometimes, when a balance needs to be redressed, the pendulum swings way too far the other way.

    7. “There is nothing wrong with torturing the enemy to protect our country.” ... I wholeheartedly DISAGREE. I do not think we can ever, ever make excuses for acts of inhumanity committed against others in our world.

    8. "Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding." ... That's the way it should be! Peace is not made between friends but between enemies. A peace maintained by force is no peace at all, merely the temporary suppression of violent antagonism. Understanding would bring about a truer peace. Few seek to attain it though!

    9. "He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.’ ... Sadly, I agree. There are far too many sheep who fail to employ any rational thought nor moral compass about the way they conduct their lives.

    10. “Killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." ... I wholeheartedly AGREE. Murder is murder, in all its guises. You can pretty it up all you like, but it's still wrong. Same goes for the death penalty. I am completely against it. “This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once.” ... indeed.

    11. “Heroism at command, is despicable and ignoble. I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action.” ... Agree.

    12. "Gentle Leaders often encounter violent opposition from weak minds. Weak minds prefer aggressive leaders.” ... Sadly, yes, I strongly agree that does happen. I find it immensely sad when people conflate gentleness with weakness. It is not!! There is a strength and dignity behind gentleness that to my mind is badly underappreciated.

    1. - Liberal education means open tolerant of opposing ideas. If we want learners who are taught to be critical thinkers we need a liberal education. Look up the true meaning of the word "liberal"

2 - God loves everyone. So to pray to God to kill your enemy is a prayer suitable for the devil, not God

4 - Winning the hearts and minds of the people, instead of trying to intimidate them into submission, is the only true and lasting victory.

5 - No! Disagree. To the sanctimonious far right everything sexual is deviant to them.

7- Torture is evil if they do it to us, but fine if we do it to them.

Disagree, as do successful interrogators, not the sadistic followers of Darth Vader Cheney. If that is true than let's torture Dick Cheney and see if he will ever tell us then truth!

    8 True

    9. Eric Fromm calls this kind of follower the pathetic average man, the person who merely exits but dies not live. Blind obedience to rules in only the second level of morality with four levels higher for Lawrence Kohlberg.

    10. yes it is murder. Religious wars are completely hypocritical.

    11. Yes

    12. yes. paranoia drives the aggressive leader

    LIBERAL

I agree very much with 8-10. 9 is my favorite. Do you know who said that, because I'd like to quote it? 1 might also be true.

2-7 are just all wrong. I think 5 might be the worst.

I'm an anarchist of the libertarian sort.

    1.

    5.

    7.

Concerning number 2, you have to believe in God and follow his commandments in order to be under his protection, our country is not a country under God.

The rest are pretty much faerie tales. ;-)
