How do I decrease my screen size?

I have a new 22 inch monitor but Im used to 19 inch. Is there a way that I can decrease the area displayed so that only 19 inches of the computer monitor is displayed (a.k.a some black space)?

    Go to the control panel

    You need to change your settings for your graphics card.

    Go to Control Panel (classic mode)

    Find and open your graphics card configurator.

    Make sure that the aspect ratio option is set to "center desktop"

    Then change the resolution setting until you are happy with the one you have.
