What do you think of the Olympics 2016?
How do you feel about Brasil getting the Olympics in 2016. Do you think they should have been hosted in Chicago or somewhere else?
I personally am glad that they are not in the US and think that it is good to finally get the Olympics to South America for the first time.
Thoughts?

Chaicago would have been nice and they gave it their best shot. There has never been an Olympics in South America. Rio put in the best bid. I'm happy for them.

I think the Olympics should be in Rio! What a beautiful setting.
Plus, with the tenor of dissatisfaction in the US who can know what might happen in Chicago?! There's so often an incident seems like -- the bombing in Atlanta, the mugging/murder in Tokyo. Where ever it occurs, it makes the host country look bad.
America could use a big ol' dose of "not looking bad" (especially Chicago).

I strongly want Rio de Janeiro gets the 2016 video games. As for the U.S., i could have enjoyed the Bay area (San Francisco/Oakland) or the Washington D.C./Baltimore bid to get voted extra desirable functional than Chicago.

I saw this woman from Chicago crying and saying how "unfair" it was that we don't get to have the Olympics. I couldn't help but thinking,"Shut the **** up! You're an American; you have nothing to complain about."

I never watch the olympics and I think they are gay so I don't really care but.....
If I was going I would rather go to Rio than Chicago. Chicago is dirty and dangergous city.

I'm glad it's in Rio. I've been there before and it is a beautiful place to be. Crime may be a problem, but I would love to just be there for the fun in the sun. Yeah!

I think I'd rather be on the crystal blue beaches of Rio De Janerio than in a filthy crime ridden slum of Chicago.
I think the IOC didn't want to contribute to the cronyism of the Obamas and they didn't want to give them one more way to pad their Swiss bank account by the Daley machine kickbacks.
They wanted to send a message to that Dear Leaders of countries will get NO special favors no matter how much they spend of their tax payer money to persuade them.
