    Breaking Into Acting For Dummies

  • 1 decade ago

Start at the beginning; Stanislavski. "An Actor Prepares", "Creating a Role" and "Building a Character". They may not be the easiest or the most contemporary books on acting, but they are the foundation for everything that has come afterwards. It will give you a context to judge all the other books that you're going to want to read..
