How do you make the adjustment for uneven floors when installing baseboard trim?

Specifically, when adjoining room have tile and hardwood, How do you adjust the baseboard trim so it looks great?

    set the baseboard down where you want it pencil the high area plane it down retry till its perfect or put quarter round down in front of the trim

    If one of the floors are higher you can subtract that height from the bottom of the baseboard, rip it with a tablesaw to make it perfect, if the floor you are going into is lower, keep the base level and put SHOE moulding around the peremeter OR you can just start from the lowest floor in the entire house and trim everyting down with a table saw eliminating the need for shoe moulding...
