Does my computer keep track of every website I've visited?

We've had internet access at my job for just over a year. Now the home office is taking the computer I work on back. Will they be able to see all the websites I've visited; I've played A LOTTA online games while at work and could potentially be reprimanded

As long as you deleted your history from your browser, it should be alright. But if you didn't, don't give up hope, a lot automatically delete the history periodically every 5-10 days.

If you are referring to if someone could see it EVEN if you deleted it. Chances are, they are some super-hacker, and/or have over 4 months on their hands strictly to check that.

PS - By 'A LOTTA online games', it doesn't make it seem like it wasn't porn.

I'm not sure this is the answer you're looking for, but, when I begin to type in a search all the sites that begin with that letter that I've visited pops up. And of course there's the history you mentioned. Other than that I don't know. I'm not a computer whiz at all.

YES, unless you knew the tricks to hide what you have browsed. Your Internet Browser keeps track of every website you have visited, and unless know the way to get rid of them, they will be visible to everyone who uses that computer.

But don't worry, home office wont sue anyone for these minor things! I'm sure they have come across this issue so many times that they won't bother wasting their time on it anymore.

Just deleting the history will not work as you can always get it back using software, if the people are so nosey at your office then I recommend that you reinstall windows on the computer, so its fresh with nothing on what-so-ever! This will completely get rid of all the history on that computer.

Or you can smash the hard drive that will also work...

Well yes but unless your company is REALLY good with computers if you just erase your history they should not be able to see what you were doing.

PS: if you want to be really safe i would delete your Temp. internet files and cookies also...

to do this, go to... start --> right click internet explore --> click internet properties --> click delete --> check off all the boxes EXCEPT for the first one that says Preserve Favorite Website Data --> click Delete
