Both! But here's the trick to wearing loafers this fall. Reserve your black ones for your dressier outfits (whether with skinny jeans or slacks). Now the brown loafer should be selected carefully, choose a pair that's aged alittle (Redwing and Sperry manufacture some styles that are distressed) You don't want them to be too pristine, and if you must buy some that look brand new, take a sheet of sand paper to the edges of the shoe and WEAR the hell outta them.
