How does your job benefit people who use the service your employment offers?

I am employed as a Night Porter and Security Officer in a Hotel which has a large function room. I offer a safe environment for people to enjoy the function that is on at the time, ensuring that only invited guests are part of the function. I also give the benefit of in an emergency knowing exactly what to do. Also the hotel guests are safe in the knowledge that only guests get into the hotel overnight and if there is any problems for any of the guests, I am there to provide a resolution. I deem my job to be beneficial as I am the only person who offers this service during my hours of employment in my hotel.

My business is in the telecommunications and energy industries.

My customers benefit in several ways, firstly they save money on services they use every day, but also they have something that no other phone or energy company can provide and that is me. My customers all know that if they ever have a problem with the supply, which customer services cannot sort then they can give me a call and I will take it up with their supplier and sort it out for them.

And what do I get out of it, well I get a percentage of all my customers bills every month - a residual based income.

Many people work jobs that only benefit the owners/bosses. The only benefit they do is to stay off the welfare rolls by earning a living. There is very little job benefits to the one who is working.

My job is to co-ordinate lighting, sound, stage crew, musicians, actors in a theatre. Together we tell a story and entertain people. Sometimes making them happy, sometimes making them sad and hopefully always making them think.
