What is Swindon like as a place to live and work?
Me and my partner are looking at moving from Lincoln to Swindon in the New Year. She works in the Insurance industry and I am currently a Courier, but have a Fork Lift Licence and Factory/Warehouse experience, also have Retail experience. Price wise is similar to Lincoln so we can afford to live, however my question revolves more on the social side of Swindon, we like pub's and bars and are both into the alternative scene, we also both like live music (smaller unsigned bands). So what is Swindon like for these things? We are visiting between 14th/16th December and any help would be appreciated. We have researched and visited many places but Swindon seems to offer us what we have been looking for employment wise, just the social aspect now.
2 AnswersOther - United Kingdom8 years ago2002 Renault Scenic 1.4 16v Sounding like a hairdryer?
I was driving the other day and there appears to be a 'wheezing' sound coming from my belts, the fan belt has a few loose threads and there appears to be some small metal filings around the belt area. The car is still driveable, although it sounds awful and only has 20-30% of its power. Nothing is showing on the dash display that the engine has a fault, the cam belt was changed on 80000 miles along with fan belt and water pump, and a huge service which cost £700, a part service was done on 92000 miles with oil change, new spark plugs and coil pack etc... and now on 99000 miles this is happening. It due a service and MOT this week but finances are limited hence the question here, A service and MOT I have budgeted £140 for, Please help?

1 AnswerHistory8 years agoWhere can I watch Live football matches online in the UK?
I want to watch some Barclays Premier League matches, I have Sky Sports, but not all matches are shown there. (ie 3pm kick offs). Does anyone know a streaming website that shows these matches and preferably free as I do pay Sky a lot of money for the privilege of not seeing matches, Thanks.
3 AnswersEnglish Football9 years agoLynx advert for fallen angels not accurate?
If the bible is to be believed then the fallen angel advert by Lynx is not appropriate for what they are trying to sell. Angels by definition in the bible are beings without gender as punishment for sins so using 'hot' attractive females is a little inaccurate don't you think?

4 AnswersOther - Advertising & Marketing10 years agoWhy do people feel the need to thumbs down everything? PS No idiots to respond please!?
Case 1: You are asked a question.... generally advice of some sort. So you respond having had similar experience or it is a subject you know enough to answer the question.
You get thumbs down.
Case 2: You answer a question that interests you but you are unsure of the answer until you research it. You state what you researched and where you researched it.
You get thumbs down.
In both cases you get stupid answers from irritable individuals who think they are humorous and honestly think they can get away with quoting stand up comedians or they just respond with absolute crap that belongs on the ground of a field populated by cows. They get thumbs up, encouraging them further. It frustrates me so much. Maybe Yahoo should revert to people who answer credibly in certain subjects allowing them to thumb up or down and if you get enough thumbs down for being a tit get a short ban? Or do away with thumbs up/down?
Sorry to rant. Do you get as frustrated with the idiots too?

11 AnswersEnglish Football10 years agoWould you sponsor the last flying Vulcan if all it cost is £3.00?
If all it took was one little text, would you do this? If all it cost was £3.00 (plus network charges) would you do it? I know this is shameless but search Google for Vulcan to the sky and text the number. She is such a great aircraft and her heritage should be sponsored. Thanks.
2 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoAnyone else a Playstation 3 Trophy Hunter?
I love hunting trophies in games and try to get as many as possible as quick as I can. I got Modern Warfare 2 last week and have 79% trophies, Just in the process of doing the game in Veteran mode. I have 100% trophies in GTA lV, 100% in World At War (including Zombie map pack add on's).
Have you got 100% in any game? If so what?
I'm asking this to Playstation owners and players, This is not xBox achievements!!!

Do you think the players have just had enough of Rafa Benitez like some of the fans and have decided to perform poorly to justify him getting the boot from the Kop?
I'm a gooner and in no way care what is happening at Anfield, just logically speaking this could explain why last seasons contenders for the top are racing to the bottom of the table to join Newcastle.
7 AnswersEnglish Football1 decade agoWhy does the Answers forum get inundated with Religion questions during night hours and not the daytime?
I've been coming on here over the last 4 years and have always noticed people asking about religion more so at night. Is this because they are either drunk? Been doing pagen ritchels? High? Scared to talk by day but not so at night?
It's a weird observation I know!
6 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoHow does your job benefit people who use the service your employment offers?
I am employed as a Night Porter and Security Officer in a Hotel which has a large function room. I offer a safe environment for people to enjoy the function that is on at the time, ensuring that only invited guests are part of the function. I also give the benefit of in an emergency knowing exactly what to do. Also the hotel guests are safe in the knowledge that only guests get into the hotel overnight and if there is any problems for any of the guests, I am there to provide a resolution. I deem my job to be beneficial as I am the only person who offers this service during my hours of employment in my hotel.

What did you think of the story line? How did you find the missions? Overall what rating out of ten would you give this game?
I've borrowed it and in 1 night I have taken over all of Neon City and now working my way through the Warren. It's relatively easy at times and a bit repetitive but overall I like it. 7/10 for my verdict.
