If your baby is on prevacid what formula do you use?
Just wondering what formula you are using with prevacid for reflux? Are you thickening?
My son has had reflux since the day he was born and is now 6 months. It took along time but he now has the right med and dose. We were using enfamil Ar but I was told the formula and prevacid counteract each other so now were on enfamil premium and I thicken with rice..
We tried goodstart and gentlease and he refuses to drink it..

my oldest son Evan was on prevacid for acid reflux and we used nestle great start formula. They have the gentle proteins in it that are easy to digest for baby. The formula did not make my son spit up as much and when you mix the formula there are no bubbles like all the other formula, its smoother and thicker as well instead of watery like the others. After feeding you baby i would suggest propping him/her up in a bouncer, but do not bounce them in it of course. Or set your baby up in your lap for a while for about 45 minutes while there body has enough time to digest it, there for reducing the chance of spit up, and reducing the amount they spit up if they do as well. At night time, try thickening the formula with half a teaspoon of oatmeal cereal, and poke a few extra holes in the top of the nipple for the cereal/formula mixture to go through, but do not make the holes TOO big or the baby will eat faster there for increasing the chances of them spitting up. The cereal in the formula will help them sleep longer at night as well, which is good for mom and dad too, LOL! Good luck, i am a baby expert, i have so much baby knowledge just stuck up in my brain, i have 3 children and one on the way, so i know a lot, feel free to contact me any time with any questions, my email is rileybaby25@yahoo.com and my name is Shannon, Riley is my youngest son BTW! GOOD LUCK FRIEND!
