    I would take a look at Spark Plug Wires,

    Let it reach Normal operating temp raise the Hood and Look at wires-esp. around boots---this check is at night with eng. running;

    Question is this a Ford vehicle?

    probably has some watter in the distributor cap or around the coil. . take the distributor cap off and dry the inside . wipe the top of the coil off also. you will be fine in a short while
