Why does God create people like Hitler?
Today at lunch my friend (who's not exactly atheist, he just doesn't believe in God if that makes sense) asked me and some of my friends why God created people like Hitler, if he knows there just going to go to hell. I'm a Christian and so are my friends but we didn't really have an answer for that. I don't know if there is an answer but if there is someone else who has faced this problem, could you please tell me what you said or what I should say?
Thank you
Ok, jay has been the closest to what I need so far. I know we have choices but my friend is saying he believes in predestination. I need him to know he has a chance at going to heaven.
Goddess of Toblerone

We all have the freedom to choose our actions, we don't have the freedom to choose our consequences. God did not create Hitler to be evil. Hitler chose the life he wanted to live. God is like a loving parent. Eventually, you back off and let your kids decide the path they chose to walk their life. God gives us sufficient direction to live a good life, it is for us to choose if we do or not.

There is a myth that persists about Christians and free will. Free will is something God gives to His creation. God has His will and we have our will to honor Him or not.
In a nutshell the question of Hitler comes up in arguments as an unarguable extreme case. Is Hitler in heaven or not? As I am not God I have no answer for that. If he managed to pray and ask Jesus into his life prior to taking his own life I can not answer this side of heaven. This much I can say, he had the same opportunity that we all have had. He will not be able to stand blameless before the Lord on judgment day either.
God is always willing to pick up the pieces of our lives, however we can choose not to give Him so many pieces to pick up.
My opinion, perhaps not the right opinion.
God Bless.

God created a man with many wonderful gifts. Hitler had a charm about him that people were drawn to him. He had a talent for speaking and getting people to do what he wanted. These gifts could have been used to build up the Kingdom of God on the earth today. However, the choices Hitler made in his life are what lead him to do the terrible things he did in his life. God created the man...not the monster.

There is a scripture that writes that God fits people in these roles.
When Adolf Hitler was born, he was a beautiful little baby boy. But at the age of accountability, he chose to hate God.
We all are given that choice. And because of the hardness of mans heart, God turns them over to their hate.
This is a tough question. The only answer is that verse that writes that God uses what the devil made for destruction for Gods purpose. So Gods purpose was still fulfilled. Israel still became a Nation.
Jesus said hell was made for the devil & his messengers. Hitler just decided to hate God and love the devil to do the devils destruction.

God does not make decisions for people, they make those of their own free will. Yes, God knows ahead of time what their decisions will be but, no, He does not make those decisions for them.
I believe (so I may be wrong on this) God allows these people to be created in the first place as part of a plan we cannot conceive. For example, if Hitler had not done what he did then the UN would not have created a permanent homeland for the Jews (please no hate mail on this...I have great sympathy for Holocaust victims...I am just posing something to think about).

Yes, 'God' created Hitler. The 'God' with unlimited power and knowledge knew before he created this human being the upcoming events he will cause but he didn't stop it. So much for an omnibenevolent God, eh?

God created Adam and Eve, from there he told Adam and Eve to multiply. The rest of us come from that line.
so no, God didnt create Hitler....or other bad people, or people with medical problems.
so what about God knitting us in our mother's womb...that has to do with God's power behind creation that is set into motion. like why scientist cannot make chemicals into living things...only living "stuff" can make living "stuff" ...this is what i also see as the breath of God that gave Adam life.
as for the people God knows is going to hell...
God's sovereignty, the fact that he rules all that he made and is in control, will not interfer with free will. another reason, hilter was hitler.
Since Adam and Eve, the world is cursed. Paul said all of creation is groaning...waiting for the return of Jesus, when all things will be made new and restored to how God intended.
first God is waiting for as many of us to be saved by his son, Jesus, then his son will come and claim what was stolen from us by the enemy in the garden.

Hitler wasn't the problem, it was the German people and the rest of the world who turned their backs to the Jews. One man can not have that power unless it is given to him by the people.
If you believe there is a yin and yang to everything, Hitler is the yang to Gandhi. How else could you experience good if you never experienced evil? I think life is about experiencing everything, by seeing this you know it is not a model of a world you want to live in.

No one is BORN into this life wicked. God's gives every soul free will in this life to choose righteousness or wickedness. Just because He knows the long term outcome doesn't mean He makes people CHOOSE - people choose for themselves. If He prevented all wicked choices then we would NO LONGER have our free agency and THAT is the choicest of all the gifts of God to mankind. It was satan who wanted to FORCE all mankind to chose and this is one reason he was cast from heaven.
If taken in the context of an 'eternal perspective' it is easier to understand the wisdom of this concept. This life is a mere speck in the eternal plan of salvation. However, what we each do and choose in this life WILL determine how we spend our eternities. Those who wicked men harm, hurt or kill will reap eternal consequences and their victims will probably receive eternal life with God. Eternity is a LONG TIME to have to reap consequences.... so we better be sure our choices matter in the big picture.
Hitler chose to become the person he became. That was not God's chosing. As the well known poem reminds us "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul."

No, there's no answer to it. Why would a good God make evil? The conventional Christian explanation is that he endowed his creations with choice -- and before that, that they did something they shouldn't have and ate the apple and got their knowledge there (but why then did God put that tree in the Garden of Eden, and let Satan lead Eve to it?). But those are pretty far-fetched "explanations." One of the reasons that the more you look at religion, the less you end up believing in it . . .
