What's the difference between Uggs, Emus, and Bearclaw boots?

Think of it this way:

Emus are ugly birds.

Bearclaws are a tasty doughnut

Uggs are the prefix for "Ugly"

...You do the math.

I just got Emu's last month and I loved them. I would have to say that if you go with Uggs your paying mostly for the brand & not the quality. I have never experienced the Bearclaw boots but I love my EMUs!:)

First off let me educate you on UGG boots. UG,UGH,UGLY and UGG are ALL basically GENERIC words used to discribe a style and type of boot made in AUSTRALIA. AUSTRTALIA is the "key" word here. ANY UGG style boot that is made ANYWHERE elese isn't a UGG boot. EMU boots and BEACH FEET are AUSTRALIAN made also. Check out beachfeet.net. Under INTERNATIONAL LAW it is ILLEGAL to copyright or trademark any GENERIC word used to discribe a product or service sold to consumers. An AMERICAN company named DECKERS did just that when it trademarked the GENERIC word UGG. This ILLEGAL deed is being fought in the courts right now. My favorites are the UGG Pammy short in chestnut. Many of my friends wear them too. So as long as your boots are handcrafted in AUSTRALIA you know your getting the "real" UGG boots and the best quality. Bearclaws are kinda Ugg knockoffs. I think Emus are infinitely more comfortable (they're my cold-weather shoe of choice), but they're not quite as iconic.

The only difference I can tell is the inside. UGGs are so much more comfortable. They're so soft in the inside and they really keep you warm. I love them, I have 5 different colors. That's why i'm looking forward to winter, so I can pull out my UGGs.
