Did Rush finally admit that he is an entertainer?

This was no surprise to me. What surprises me is that those who listen to him are too stupid to know that they're being played, even after HE TOLD THEM. Its one thing to stand up for what you believe because you TRULY believe it, its another to purposely incite fear, anger and hate all for the all mighty dollar.

Rush has always said things like that. I would suggest he is more like the Oprah of cynical middle-aged white men.

Oprah tells lonely, chubby, depressed housewives about using the Law of Attraction to get their husbands to become more romantic. She has an army of 40 million zombies who do her bidding, and eat, drink, and think whatever she says.

Rush tells lonely, chubby, frustrated men that they can belong to a fraternity of tough, cool guys who aren't afraid to stick it to "the man," by wearing T-Shirts that say "Club Gitmo." When Rush makes a half-assed joke about the personality flaws he shares with the Kennedys and other senators (vanity, substance abuse and addiction, weight problems), all the "Ditto Heads", like Branched Davidians, crawl all over the internet and fill internet message boards with their fecal matter.

To be a true "ditto head," like Oprah-head, you have to spend a couple hundred bucks to buy books, coffee mugs, CDs, DVD's, and learning a specialized language peppered with jokes and condescension to "civilians" (the people not indoctrinated yet)

By that logic than all news on all channels and radio stations are considered entertainment. Isn't it the same NBC Today Show you cite which constantly brags and advertises it's lead in the ratings. Not to mention the networks obsession with ratings for it's evening news.

Rush always has said he was an entertainer and not a politician. That is why you can believe he tells the truth at least sometimes.

RUSH cracked under pressure,,in reality the pig has always claimed to be more than just a AM radio host of a talk show. he insighted "OPERATION KAYOS" in 2008. to get people to cross party lines.. of he failed to be of any real tangible use to the REPUBLICAN PARTY....

I am not a Rush fan, but he has never said he is anything else. I remember a biogaphy channel piece on him some 15-20 years ago in which he said much the same.

What else do you think he is? I mean his job is in the entertainment/media industry. Did you think you uncovered some big secret here or something?!

Only someone who doesn't listen to Rush would find that statement a surprise. Rush has ALWAYS referred to himself as a commentator and that he is a businessman. And as such he wouldn't be successful if he didn't satisfy his audience.

So what's your problem? Is this somehow a bad thing in your mind?

It's libs and Dems that try to elevate Rush to something higher than what he is. It is you crazy liberals who want him to be our leader, whose marching orders we follow to the T.....

Rush Limbaugh has always been an entertainer. That doesn't mean he can't make some good (or shitty) points. But we don't worship him like you wish we did.....

Why would you think of him in any other light, He just uses politics

as his vehicle. 99% of the time he is right on the money when it comes

down to it. How many times has any DEM or LIBERAL sued Limbaugh

for Slander, Liable Etc, You got it NONE. So if the truth hurts wear

it.

I'm pretty sure he's always said that and even says it in either his opening or his commercial bumpers.

His detractors love to think of him as more, which only makes him want to make it worse for you. You're being played like a fiddle for the sake of his salary.
