If you rely on the VA for health care, you wait, and you have rationing. Why wouldn't you?

In this "new" scheme hatched today?

The VA offers no "new" medicines for veterans. Not even name brands. If it's not available in a generic, you're out of luck.

Medicare also has rationing and delays because fewer and fewer doctors are willing to play the government game. Doctors are also moving overseas where they have more freedom in how they practice. Where is your new government doctor going to come from?

Will the majority of "new" doctors be ones that graduated at the top of their class? Or the ones that just got by? Will they be "undocumented" like the president?

RU sure you want to do this?

Hey we just got a brand new huge office for a handful of vets in our county, our population is about 60,000, they did not need one that huge. but anyway its our money they are spending so they do not give one dam, My Husband a ret navy, stopped going, all they did was put him on weird meds, now he takes nothing and feels better, what a hassle, they sent him all this med. thru the mail. then did an audit and dropped him????? I have no clue what happened, I told them they were sending him the meds.@ 7.00 for a 3 month supply, they are more confused than congress and the DC circus clowns.......God bless our nation..............

Source(s): He is over 65 and pays for a part a-b and a supplement, easier that going thru the va, the nearest hospital from us is 3 hours away in the San Franciso bay area, He says if they cannot accomidate the vets at our local hospital then he is not getting involved......................when he did see a dr at the vets a few years back, she could hardly speak english, they could not communicate with each other at all!!!!! My Husband does not hear good and cannot understand eastern Indians, I had to do the communicating for him, and I cannot understand her either, very frustrating, since the english language is supposed to be top priority in the USA, didn't we vote for that??? why then do we have to put up with this??

The problem will get worse b/c as more people get covered, they will naturally start going to the doctors. This will increase rationing.

Also, how many people are going to kill themselves to get through med school, take out $200,000 in loans, merely to come out and work for the gov at $120,000. You could not make a living doing that. That will increase rationing.

I hope that the gov will do good, but hope is not a strategy. Go here to the White House, and see the REALITY of how many gov programs are not performing well. What are the chances Healthcare will?

Where are these doctors going overseas? The US is the only developed country that does not have universal healthcare. But perhaps under the universal programs of other countries doctors have more freedom than in the US's bureaucratic mess.

No. Unfortunately the liberals who buy whatever the government is selling have no clue.

They believe 47 million are without health insurance. They believe that government run is the best option. They believe there will be no rationing. They believe that it won't add to the deficit. They believe that people "opting out" will not be a problem.

EDIT: They believe people are dying from lack of health insurance (thanks to Kevin for that one!).

What a sad state we are in as a country with such clueless people voting.

It has rationing becuase people are actually getting the care they need, instead of conveniently dying like they do now and leaving the lines small for the rest of us.

Youre putting your convenience over the life of another human being. Your wait for your organ transplant is less than the guy in Canada because another America couldn't afford to get one.
