I know this is late but the Monday Night Football schedule?
Why do Miami, Green Bay, San Diego, and Washington get 2 Monday Night games and they stink?
Of course Golden Boy #1 and #2 get two games for New England and Minnesota. And the last MNF game is the second Favre-fest.
No Tampa, no Seattle, no Cincy? Who makes these schedules?
Your thoughts?

First off they go on the records of last season. So if your team is good then they will get more primetime games. Second, everyone forgets that Monday Night Football isn't the best game of the week anymore, it is sunday night football. They get the best games and they even have the flex-scheduling where if a team is good, then they will get a primetime game later on. If Cincy, and Seattle are any good in December than you will see them on sunday night. As far as the Bucs go, who wants to see them on TV.

It usually depends on how the teams performed last season. Also, the NFL would like there to be highly intriguing matchups to watch in primetime. The Redskins for example, have 2 MNF games because they are against NFC East rivals. Miami was a surprise team last year so during the summer scheduling, the NFL thought people would want to watch the Dolphins. And for the Chargers, they have exciting players to watch (Rivers, LT, Gates, Jackson).

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RATINGS....
WHEN TAMP SEATTLE AND CINCY PLAY ON MONDAY NIGHT, THE RATINGS ARE LOW....
THATS WHY DALLAS GETS THE MOST OF THE NATIONALY TELEVISED GAMES. MORE PEOPLE WATCH!

I thought it was a new rule that Peyton Manning ALWAYS plays in prime time.
Source(s): Favre is king of MNF. Of course he will be on.
