Any tips for taking a toddler to the movies for the first time?
I am thinking about taking my 15 mo. old to a movie this weekend. Not too sure if this is the best idea! Does anyone have any tips? Thanks!
But it's a kids movie... I would be watching ONLY for her...

Try to find a "Mommy and Me" movie offering. These are for parents (not just mommies) to attend with their kids. The lights are not lowered all the way, nor is there the typical quietness in the theater.
In some theaters, the kids will play and watch the movie, but it is more of a social/play date with a movie included. At 15 months, she is a bit young for any other type of movie event.
Good luck and enjoy!

A few years ago I took my then-almost-5-yrs old son to the movies and he found it too noisy. We waited that long because he was afraid of dark places. And he never liked noisy places or even loud toys. Now he loves going to the movies! Personally I would not take a 15 month old but then this is your child and you know him/her better than anyone else.

After a nap is good Give him or here there snack time while watching . You can do it Don't be one of thous parent that are afraid to go any where with you toddler, always try it and try again and if they show there not feeling it find some thing more kid friendly to to after the show.

snacks and quiet toys. Go on a weekday morning, you're more likely to find parents there plus the theater will be fairly empty.
If she cries take her to the lobby immediately. If she gets antsy take her to the lobby for a tour. Above all be ready to leave even if she didn't make it past the coming attractions.
GL!

15 months is usually too young to watch an entire movie. Her attention span is too short at this age, I would imagine. It's fairly expensive and will probably not end well...

one tip is to wait. At 15 months none of you will get to see the movie.

I would get a babysitter or rent a dvd. The theater goers will thank you, believe me. I don't mean to be rude but toddlers and movie theaters are not a good combination. Sorry!! : /

i might confirm to take him to the potty surprising earlier the instruct starts, and attempt to chop back drinks in the process the action picture if a possibility, that way you dont would desire to bypass to the bathing room each and every 2 minutes. which will destroy it for you and each person around you. (of direction, it truly is assuming your new child is potty skilled)
