Easy there kiddo, they can not see God or things of God from the outside. I remember, I have not always been a believer of Jesus and child of God. And from their vantage point they can not see these things, their hearts have been hardened.

Hardened to the point that every seed (word of God) we plant, dies. Nothing there to help in grow, just hard soil. Something must happen in their lives to loosen this soil (they must be heart broken), it is like tilling it up. For when my heart was broken, the seed could then grow. But until then I could not see God or things of God, like they are now. Such a shame, God is good and they see him not.
