Have you seen union boss make workers strike and company folds as a result?

Those strikers lost their jobs afterward.

PTS drivers went on strike, and company folded because of that. Everyone lost his/her job, good paying job at the height of recession. Is that not smart or what?

Update:

union boss convinced drivers they will come out ahead and they believed him. Everyone lost a good pay job with good benefit.

Update 2:

They voted alright, and they voted their jobs out. Company folded after 1 week. Now you are working, now you are not, just like that.

Safeway in the Midwest. Happened to my mother. She could have taken a two dollar an hour cut in pay, but they opted to strike and close down the company. Food Barn came in (with the same union bosses) and they took a four dollar an hour cut in pay. Many of them (20 years later) are still convinced they were right. Oh, the company that owns Food Barn. Safeway! LMAO! They can't see the union "sold them out".

I worked for SIPCO. The union convinced people to strike. We got a nickle raise out of it and because of lost revenue for those months, Another plant opened up a couple hundred miles away and got all business. SIPCO closed 4 months later!

i have a LOT more but no more space

I am a Obama supporter and I hate unions. A couple of grocery stores in AZ were planning on striking if they did not continue to get free health insurance and it was to rise to $20 a month for premiums. Are you f'n kidding? They were whining about that? I was first to offer to be a scab PT as a second job. They pushed up the negotiation date to November. People were giving them hell on the az central website. Why does an uneducated bagger think they deserve $12 an hour and free health care? I do not want my milk to be $10 a gallon.

    EDIT:

Free health care, and they have the audacity to be against Obama's reform? What-do they not want everyone else to have more affordable health insurance?

Your ignorance is showing.Because you obviously don't know how a union works do you? In order for a union to strike a majority of its members have to vote for it!

BTW---PTS will probably be sold to a family member who will open it under a new company name. Thus getting rid of the union!

Yes, and I think we're going to see a lot more of that with the pro-union president we have now.

Source(s): Look at how many SEIU members he has appointed in his administration

Who do you think is responsible for the loss of so many off shore jobs? Union stooges.

The Government will just bail you out if the unions make it impossible for you to compete in the free market.

    Just ask GM and Chrysler.
