AMC - Anyone else heard about Haley & Mateo?
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are set to guest on AMC this January.
Whoa ... this is a big one. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos -- the real life marrieds who met on the set of All My Children -- are bringing their beloved characters, Hayley and Mateo Santos, back to the show! It's to help celebrate the show's 40th anniversary (slated for January 5th, 2010). Expect them to air on January 4th and 5th. Kelly broke the news on Live with Regis and Kelly. Got this today from Soapnet.com. Ain't it great. They were always 2 of my fav characters, and Haley not calling Adam with everything going on just didn't make sense in any form or fashion. She was particularly crazy about Stuart, and for her not to call when he was killed is pretty close to sin.

Yes I heard Friday morning and then again when she announced it on REgis and Kelly. I can't wait. Hayley and Mateo are on my all time favorite couples list! I named my daughter for Hayley!

They will only be back to celebrate AMC's 40th anniversary. Live with Regis and Kelly will also do a tie in and follow them all around behind the scenes during that time.

They aren't two of my favorite characters. AMC needs to do something NEW rather than something the same old thing again. I'm not the least bit interested in watching Haley and Mateo again. Boring! I can see AMC is going to get worse when it moves to L.A. I'll make sure I don't watch AMC those days. Thank's for the heads up.

Yep, I just heard about it on yesterday. At first, I thought they were coming back for some big storyline, and that they might stay a while. But I was somewhat disappointed at finding out that it was just for a couple of episodes.
I wonder if they'll mention Maria's miraculous "rise from the dead", or Julia's "death", the manner of which doesn't even make sense? Shot while sitting up in a chair ... and not surviving, even with the chief of staff himself right there on hand performing the operation ... (shakes head).
Looking forward to their return, even if it's only for a couple of days.
