Do you think that the Balloon Boy Saga and Realty TV Shows are getting out of hand?

I think reality TV shows got out of hand the moment someone decided to make a reality TV show. Its bad enough that real celebrities get more attention and praise than war heroes, doctors, teachers, etc. Now there are people that are becoming celebrities for no apparent reason, just because they were on a scripted show.

It's BEEN out of hand for years.

People have come to rely on fake TV as a substitute for the reality outside their doors.

Even what used to be 'decent' educational TV has started to present what "might have happened" and "what could have happened" as fact in an effort to make their otherwise bland history subjects exciting and titilating.

A great example of that was a show about a UFO crashing into a lake ...They searched the lake and couldn't find a UFO, crashed or otherwise. To me, that would mean there was no UFO.

But to the show's crafty writers it meant ... (insert eerie music here) that someone or SOMETHING had already recovered it!!!

Yeah sure!

Absolutely!

And what DESPICABLE PARENTS they are -- teaching their children to lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Dad's a real USER and OPPORTUNIST; the mother's a fool for going along with this hoax!

How many of us watched that breaking news and thought there really WAS a 6-year-old boy in there?

What a stinky trick to prey on the compassion and concerns of American citizens with this stupid hoax....

I'm not at all sure those parents are qualified to raise those kids either!

From now to next week, the charges are planned.
