what to take to the party?

Office halloween party and I've no idea what to bring.

Chips, cake, fruit, dip & punch are all covered; and I'm the new guy...

I thought about a bottle of booze for the punch, but that might not be the best idea, you know? Also, I need something I can get at the store, cause I'm not the "make it" kind of guy. Any suggestions?

Buy 1 pack of Cream Cheese and put it on a plate. Pour 1 jar of blackberry preserves over it. Make sure it is "preserves" and not jelly. Chop up some pecans and sprinkle those on top. Bring a box of Ritz Crackers to serve with this. It is easy and delicious. Cover with some saran wrap or aluminum foil to transport it to work.

Pizza would work really well - just cut it into squares and get a range of different toppings. You could get cookies - most stores are selling decorated halloween themed cookies at the moment, so they'd be good if you want something relevant to the theme. You could get a selection of mini snacks - mini sausage rolls, mini quiches, cocktail sausages, mini samosas, mini spring rolls, chicken skewers with dip etc. Cheese straws would be good too, or you could get a party platter - maybe a chicken platter with wings etc. You could get a selection of bitesize desserts - brownies, profiteroles etc. If you want something more snacky, then try popcorn, pretzels, mixed nuts or even some halloween candy. :]

i wouldnt bring booze unless you know you are allowed to be having booze at work. unless it is an after work party, then drink up...ha ha. go to chic-fil-a and get a nugget tray, or little caesars and get some of those hot and ready pizzas and ask them to cut each piece in half. or pick up some cookies from the bakery part of a grocery store. those loft house sugar cookies are the best, you know the ones that are really soft and have the colored icing on them. i call them playdough cookies. i love those.

Meatballs, maybe a chicken nugget platter from chic fil-a, hoagies, sounds like you guys need some hot foods or something a little more filling.

How about a small meat or veggie tray? Even a hoagie/sub tray or pizza would be fabulous!

They're a bit more substantial food wise from the other nibbles - and your new co-workers will be impressed with your choice. ♥

Find good hot wings place and buy a few dozen.

Go to Subway get a couple of subs and have them cut them into many small chunks.

Find a bakery and buy cheese straws or sausage balls.

You could get a cheese & cracker platter. I'd stay away from the liquor. Let the life-long office bully/clown take care of that

A mixed bag of halloween candy or a snack platter.

    A TRAY OF MEAT!

You know with the cheese and crackers. (always a big hit)

Or just veggies and dip for our vegetarian friends.
