I swiped my card for the NYC MTA. My girlfriend hopped in with me. Too drunk to reach for her card. A cop grabbed us. And rather than argue since I was under the influence as well (yet composed) We accepted the tickets. I want to argue these tickets. But my questions is... Should we have been issued 2 tickets?
Yeah it was a busy area... after the yankees game... we were practically shoved thru... thats my other arguement.

technically yes
one for her for hopping the train without paying,you for illegal use of card
usually its always up to a cops discretion if he wants to ticket you or not,but if they are in a usually slow and uninteresting area,yeah
they will always give you a ticket

Yes, you both deserve tickets. You get a ticket for being an accomplice.
