Is there any proof that atheists converting to christianity is very rare?

This is the reason why i don believe in god

If u got time, why don u watch news and see how natural disaster screwing humans live, and spend more times to think how to save those people.

I think you misunderstand Belief. Atheists don't generally BELIEVE even when there is proof or verification, as they KNOW then and belief is not needed. Belief means to accept something as true without any proof or verification.

An atheist either knows or doesn't know and doesn't feel the need to dishonestly pretend that they know by saying that they believe.

If an atheist did convert to being a believer in whatever faith, I sort of suspect it is because of economic or political reasons and is certainly not sincere or honest. But I can certainly imagine it happening. Atheists can lose their jobs and ability to support their families or wife because prejudice against them by Christians or Muslims. In some countries an atheist can be killed simply because they don't believe the local religion. Conversion by the sword does happen and is documented. Just read some history.

I doubt there is any proof of this.

However, it seems those who are unsure about themselves tend to go towards religion (since it's a sort of safety net). If you notice, a lot of atheists are disbanded and unorganized. That is because they tend, as a whole, to be independent, wary, and skeptical.

Thus, if someone states they are an atheist, they might get turned off by the notion that not every atheist will 'have your back' like people from the same religion will. Therefore, they will turn to religion instead.

This is not to say religious people are unsure or not independent, but this is what I myself have observed.

Not sure but I have known quuite a few athiest and humanist and it seems that once they become one they dont change there way of thinking.

I have noticed in prisons it happnes because the place is so awefully boring people realize they have to join gangs or become alot more street smart in order to make it ,so many convert only for the reasons of going to heaven and believing that there god will bless them where they dont have to go back to a life of crime but I have found that athiest are indeed right and christians have been lied to in many ways .

The bible contradicts itself in many ways.And what televised evangelist preach on tv about happiness and prosperity is a big lie to.I must be blind because I cant see no prosperity and I have never seen one felon besides the Roc and Don King making any money .There Jesus lives under my bed because I dont see him.

I havent seen a statistic. But I know its one of the favorite lines of creationists.

"I used to be an atheist too, so I understand how confused and scared you are. But I found god and you can too". And then they tell you how wonderful it feels to be 'saved' and that god loves atheists too, yada yada yada...

Ugh. I want to puke when I hear it. Because they're usually lying about being a former atheist.

They were more likely agnostic, and just had no opinion one way or the other. THAT would be more likely than an atheist going back to belief.

I know of no proof, but Atheists become Atheists because we believe in education, learning, and facts. It would be difficult to move backwards into ignorance, and delusion.

Yes, it's a well-known fact that many more religious people become atheists than atheists become religious.

In fact, almost every atheist on here was once religious.

Well, the number of atheists is growing, so that means the amount of theists -> atheists is probably higher then the amount of atheists -> theists

It probably is rare. What sounds easier, living a life of obedience to a divine authority, or being completely free to do whatever you want?
