My 10 month old cat had a miscarriage?

I made a wellness visit/spaying appt with the local Humane Society for this Friday earlier this week for my cat who seemed more or less healthy.

Anyway, I come home and find blood all over the apt. After I examined my cat, who seemed more or less fine, I went to clean up the mess. I found three dead fetuses--complete with legs and tails in the bloody mess. My cat is still bleeding but not profusely.

As I am taking my cat to the vet tomorrow (and don't have anymore money for an emergency visit), what can I do for her in the meantime?

Update:

I just got off the phone with the Humane Society. They referred me to the ASPCA. Wish me luck.

OMG i am so sorry this happened to kitty and you but hon you have to get her to the vet like now as she has to get the baby's all out of their as infections will come fast and kill your cat .bleeding even a bit is a sign that she may and will go into septic shock fast as anything and if you were bringing her tomorrow then do it today as your cat will not be alive tomorrow.I have raised and fostered cats for 30 yrs and when this happens they have to go asap as cats are like us and the old placentas need to be taken out.If you do not have money please call the humane Society or animal control so they can give you ideas where to bring her and how m=uch it's going to cost. EDIT you don't need an emergency hospital just bring it to your vet or a vet and they'll get her in asap as they know it's a life or death problem......

She could very well bleed herself into shock so you make a plant to get her to any vet RIGHT NOW. If you can't afford a vet now, can you afford a vet ever or just at month end? THink carefully if having an animal dependant on you is the right thing to do, cause this type of thing happens at all the "wrong" times, and can cost the animal their life if yoyu don't get off the PC and to the Humane Society or SPCA or a vet who can see her now.

WHile you are there, set up an appointment for her to be spayed.

Did you phone the Humane Society? They may take her in right away at no extra cost. A cat - or any animal - that is bleeding like you describe needs to be seen right away. She may bleed out (to death). :(

Please phone around and see who can see her today.

    Good luck.
