What's the turn-around for a lien released title from the CT DMV?

I'm selling my car and it has a lien, so I'm going to pay it off first, but would like to know what kind of turn-around the CT DMV has once I mail my lien release to them. Thanks.

If there is an available title you don't have to do anything with DMV when you payoff a loan. The lien holder can just stay on the title. When you sell the car just give the buyer the title and lien satisfied form. If however the lender was title less you have to apply for a new title. I would count on maybe 2 weeks at the most. Some states allow the local DMv offices to print their own titles. If that is the case you could get lucky and get a title the same day.
