Sergei can stop crying now.?

There are rumors going around that both Kostitsyns are going to be traded to LA for Frolov.

Q1: Who would be getting the better deal, taking both skill and attituded into consideration?

Q2: Should GMs be letting cry babies like this have their way, or should we be sending them back to the KHL where they belong?

I think the Kostitsyns combined have more skill, but they also come with a lot of bullcrap. They've been a liability for their team and it's about time they get called on it.

I wish Gainey would call Sergei's bluff and see how well he does when no one will touch him, but I also think trading him now and at least getting something for him is better for the team than just letting him walk.

I think the Canadiens would get the best of the deal in the short term. Frolov and Cammaleri have had success playing before. It would give the Habs 2 good offensive duo's in Cammalarei/Frolov and Gomez/Gionta.

That said Frolov is a UFA at seasons end and may be gone come next year. Frolov has had attitude issues in LA also, he was benched last game, so maybe not being under contract for next year is good in that it allows the flexibility of letting him walk.

LA would get future potential, the best either Kostitsyn has played is when they were both together in 08. Maybe they can rediscover that magic in LA. Andre is under contract for next year. Sergi is an RFA but probably would resign to stay with his brother.

It could be a win/win deal for both teams.

Q2- I'd like to say stick it to him and let them walk. However the idea of a GM is to maximize value for your team. Sergei is an asset and if you can get anything in a trade it is better than letting him walk to the KHL for nothing.

    Frolov is super talented.

I think the Canadiens will get the better of this deal. Neither Kostitsyn impresses me.
