And we still think the Gov't can run healthcare, why?
The US Treasury Inspector General came out and stated that roughly $139mm in Home Buyer Tax credit fraud has initially been uncovered. 53 internal IRS agents (Yes, IRS agents!!) are actively being investigated for fraud, 600 underage individuals have applied and received the tax credit and my favorite, 3000 ILLEGALs received the tax credit.
How can we even conceive the US government running ANYTHING efficiently and without fraud. They can't and they continue to illustrate their inability to run anything, period. WAKE UP!!!!
They can't run the military speaking from experience (USMC). Was I for the war, no, but you do what they ask you to do. And if you do some research, 100% of those covered by healthcare, 70% receive their coverage from NON PROFIT providers.
Really, without government you wouldn't know about the fraud, so the government is now the media?? SEC discovered Madoff, Gov't reported Rangel, Gov't reported Ensign, Gov't reported FL. rep fraternizing with pages, Gov't reported Murtha, Gov't reported Watergate, Gov't reported.......
Exactly...the gov't has these repsonsibilities in my opinion, nothing more nothing less.
National Defense, admin of justice (Law and Order), and provision of certain goods (transportation infrastructure and basic/applied education)

If you don't believe the government can run anything, I assume you stood firm against the Iraq war and all other military, government run and funded operations. I don't think the government is perfect, either, but I think even less of private insurance companies, who I know from experience are corrupt and greedy.

We can conceive the US government running EVERYTHING nearly without fraud. It hires millions of people with trillion dollar budgets, and the percent fraud is imperceptible and ridiculous and on par with the private sector.
Crime is a part of life, has existed since civilization began and will exist as long as we exist.
In fact, we rely on government to get rid of fraud. To be against government because you don't like fraud is essentially a oxymoron. Without the government you wouldn't even know about the fraud.
Medicare is run with 3% administrative costs, and in the private sector it is 20%. Thus, using legal practices we throw away 17% of premimums while allowing an industry to reject claims because women were raped, because a baby was too fat and another too thin. No sensible, rational adult who was not a shrill for the billion dollar insurance company could come to any other conclusion that we should get rid of this system tomorrow.

Seems like we need more than HOUSE cleaning.....we need GOVERNMENT cleaning!
And sunshine....I love our insurance company. For 30 years they have taken care of our son who is handicapped due to an accident. Over 10 years of hospitalizations and surgeries...and 2 million dollars paid by them...I can't say they are corrupt or unfair..we have wanted for nothing. some we have had to pay for ourselves..but they have paid more than 80 percent of it.
Private insurance companies need some reform...but they have taken care of me during my cancer and my son's needs and have been polite and helpful and even assigned a case worker to Kevin to help him assess his needs every year and to help him with regular check ups and pre maintenance programs.
I cannot say anything against them...not one thing. They have been efficient...kind, caring, humane, IMMEDIATE and never denied anything we needed.
Can't convince me that they are corrupt..not for one minute!
Government health care will not do this. They won't have the money to do it...and if people cannot afford it now..what makes you think they can afford 8 to 10 thousand bucks THEN? IF they don't pay they fined...and then what? Do they get health care anyways without paying? IS that fair to those that DO PAY? Will you complain about them not getting health care because they can't afford it then too? When does it end? We are back to where we are now aren't we? fighting for those that need it and can't get it. WHAT good will that do?

The socialists(call them what they are) are not interested in running anything. Their goal is for total government control and the destruction of th U S. They are convinced they will be the rulers and above the mess and the laws.

You are absolutely correct - they cannot run anything. We should all be worried about health care.
