Need help simplifying this rational exponent?

Simplify each expression. All variables represent positive real numbers.

-(a^4/81)^3/4

Now I'm thinking that I have to write this out in exponential form at first. But I'm not so sure because of the variable at the top. Also would I go about simplifying this problem as if it was just a ordinary 1 in the numerator since the a has an imaginary 1 in front of it anyway. Or is there another way to solve when there are variables in the numerator?

I may be missing something here, but all you need to do is multiply the exponents together.

    -a^12/324

    or

    -a^1/27
