Is the Swine flu Obama's Katrina?
Obama's adminstration has had 6 months to get ready and said they would have 100 million dose of vacine in Oct, they had 11 million. People are dying because the administration was not ready. If Bush did so bad responded to Katrina, then what do you call this?

bush didnt fail Katrina, it was the guy in charge of New Orleans, he even got arrested for it,.
Oh but i forgot, the "real " media doesn't report that kind of stuff anymore. So you would have had to have been watching FOX to know that...

It is possible depending on what it brings, but it is hard to control vaccination production. As for Katrina if I remember correctly it is the responsibility of the Governor to allow the federal government permission to assist. The governor actually denied federal aide until it was too late. Also it was in a large part the city of New Orleans fault for not setting up an evacuation plan.

No because the President doesn't have control over people taking the flu shot, Most people don't trust the swine flu shot so he cant make them take it
Now on the other hand Bush should have gotten off of his rump and did something about Katrina like maybe throw the people a life raft or something to help out instead of drinking beer and playing golf

I think Obama should focus on what causes these mysterious new viruses and new diseases and on the government's giving immunity to the pharmaceutical companies after people started suing them after getting Guillain-Barré Syndrome from vaccinations in the 1970s.
"GBS may be a rare side-effect of influenza vaccines, with an incidence of about one case per million vaccinations.[10] Other estimates suggest the incidence of GBS among those receiving the vaccine was one case per 105,000 and that the GBS was not directly due to the vaccine but to a bacterial contamination of the vaccine that triggered GBS.[11]
There were reports of GBS affecting some people who had received swine flu immunizations in the 1976 U.S. outbreak of swine flu. Overall, there were about 500 cases of GBS—25 of which resulted in death from severe pulmonary complications— which, according to Dr. P. Haber, were probably caused by an immunopathological reaction to the 1976 swine flu vaccine. Other influenza vaccines have not been linked to GBS, though caution is advised for certain individuals, particularly those with a history of GBS.[12][13]
Guillain–Barré, unlike disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS), is a peripheral nerve disorder and does not generally cause nerve damage to the brain or spinal cord."

First of all, it was not Bush's fault that the people of New Orleans suffered as they did during Katrina...it was decades of inept leadership on the part of of the liberal/democratic leadership there, who were given federal monies to shore up levies, which they never did, who had buses to evacuate the poor and the handicapped, which they didn't do, whose governor didn't declare that state a disaster until days after the storm hit, which is what you have to do BEFORE the feds are allowed to come in and begin rescue efforts, it was the government policies there that created a welfare state of poor who could not take care of themselves...but you can't teach a liberal anything...they just went ahead and voted back in the very MAYOR who allowed many people to suffer and to die during that horrible catastrophic storm...and chose to blame Bush instead...it is a joke really...how intellectually dishonest anyone is who actually believes that the president was the one who was inept on that one...it is the local leaderships responsibility to prepare for disaster, make sure the cities are evacuated, and then call in for support if their efforts are not enough....
Shame on the liberals for keeping the poor, poor just so they can have a voting base...and then blaming others for their misdeeds..

There is nothing the president can do about the manufacturers inability to produce vaccine.
