So which allows for more "deliberation", 60 Senator requirement to pass laws, or Senators even in the minority having all the time they need?
to make their case orally why their position and view point is best?
Logically to me, the talking filibuster is deliberation itself......while the 60 thing that is going on right seems more designed to bring the wheels of legislation to a halt of the minority chooses. Is there any other legislative body in the US or in the world that has that silly 60% rule to make laws? How about clubs that any of you belong to? When you take votes is it like 60% must agree to have the picnic on this or that date, or 60% must vote for Joe to be the President of the club?

The goal of requiring a supermajority is not deliberation, but to achieve consensus.
Democrats defended the filibuster when they were in the minority and used it extensively during the Trump administration and they will use and defend it again the next time they're in a minority (assuming they don't abolish it in the meantime, in which case they'll just regret it).

Nope it's time for the filibuster to go!
Republicans under Moscow Mitch have been using it to obstruct progress since Obama was first in office! Moscow Mitch used it to threaten the 2009 stimulus bill forcing Obama and democrats to water it down!
