Why are football fans either unaware or ignoring Michael Vick being reinstated and put on a team?

So the league won't allow Rush limbaugh to be a part owner of a team with a 100 Mil of His money, But will pay Vick to play!

Pay a convict who did horrible physical things to dogs.

But you wont take money from a guy who speaks the truth?

No one ignored Michael Vick being re-instated. In case you missed it, it WAS all over the media....there was no way to miss it.

I agree that anyone that engages in that type of torture and cruelty to animals is a very sick person. He did not get off lightly. It cost him everything he had worked for, forced him into bankruptcy and cost him his freedom and ability to earn a superstars' living. He has been punished enough.

Your son just now gave up watching football? What, he just now heard about the Michael Vick situation? He never watched to begin with....right? That is just a statement you put in there to be dramatic, right?

Yours is a poor attempt to criticize a sport and fan base you have no interest in, in the first place. Leave Michael Vick and the NFL alone....go back to that hole you hide in...

if you haven't noticed football is a violent sport. the man is asking for forgiveness and a second chance. He gave his full penance and realizes the error in his way. He is being watched under a microscope by the NFL and the media. He is a spokes person for PETA. Learn to forgive, but don't forget. It is the christian way isn't it, but if your god has no mercy, then peace be with you and stop watching football.

Also if you listen to fans, Sports announcers and analyst they use analogies all the time describing a players performance: he's a beast, he's like tenacious bull dog, this guy is fierce, this guy is relentless, this guy is an ANIMAL.

So if you don't like the violence of the game, do as your son and stop watching.

There are a great many football fans who disagreed with the NFL on allowing Vick to be reinstated. Maybe you should toss the blanket statement, eh? Even Eagles fans don't all agree on his reinstatement. It was the commisioner's decision. No one asked the fans.

For the ones who support Vick, they state that he served his time (never appealed his conviction) and paid his dues. He regrets ever having gotten involved with dogfighting. He got caught, accepted his punishment and did what he should do to make amends.

Of course, he may still think of animals as things to torment, but that would be his own opinions and in America we don't try to control people's personal beliefs - only unlawful actions.

Please don't bring this back up again.

The reason why we aren't talking about it is simply because everyone got tired of hearing about it. Yes, there are those of us who don't think he should have been allowed back, such as myself, but he's back, and complaining about it won't help the matter at all. By this point, we're all just tired of reading posts about Michael Vick and Brett Favre.

Everybody makes mistakes man. I don't know where you heard of half of that B.S. Do you not know he was fighting the dogs. And a lot of poor people watch football. People who steal and sell drugs. People you don't understand and regard as criminals or less than human, but they have no other choice. Pit Bulls are born to fight and kill anyway. I doubt your son loves killer dogs. Michael Vick did nothing wrong besides having the dog fights on his property it was his brother and his friends idea.. if this was held anywhere else michael vick would be innocent... you got nfl players murdering people, and just since there not sentenced or caught they league thinks its finee. i mean dante stallworth was drunk and killed someone, bengals have 6 players arrested in one off season, ray lewis in trail for murder but proved innocent, antonio Bryant pac man jones...

how bout marcus vick getting in trouble.. michael vick has done his undeserved time and deserves a 2nd chance

I am an animal lover too. But I am not going to stop watching football because he is reinstated. he made a mistake.

Besides, He doesn't play for the Saints.

Its not my place to judge him.
