Psychic? My thoughts and dreams become real?

I've had this ability, gift or whatever it is about 5 years ago.

So I've had dreams and thoughts that randomly happens and in about 3 days in becomes real?

I told my mom about this and she says that she would have dreams like lottery numbers [she was too poor at the time. so she couldn't buy a ticket and those numbers she dreamed of appeared as the winning numbers], spirits, etc,

she also said that my grandmother had that too.

ex: i had a dream where my nephew and i were trying to land a plane. passengers were on board. there was no where to land it, so we landed on a lake or river-ish. we had to make some hard turns and well yea.

then it looked like everyone was saved.

but i didn't feel so sure so i checked it 2 times.

i had this dream 2 days before an exact incident happened just like that.

the hudson river. with that one heroic guy (in military/war) for landing the plane safely

and checking for any passengers in the plane

i think it happened in january of this year? im not sure?

My mom said there was a specific name for this.

but forgot what its called.

so im asking you whats the name of this gift/ability?

i want to know more information about this.

im very curious to know.. please!

The gift or ability we both have is called sometimes clairvoyance which is defined as "the supposed power to see objects or events that cannot be perceived by the senses. Acute intuitive insight or perceptiveness." At other times it is called premonition which is defined as 1. A presentiment of the future; a foreboding. 2. A warning in advance; a forewarning.... and precognizance, defined as an ability to know what will happen before it does.

Those are more than mere intuition (although that could be part of it some of the time as everyone with some sensitivity can develop intuition which is when you notice body language or somethings happened that gave you an idea that a certain thing might follow.

I too have recieved the feeling, vision or dream straight from out of the blue, seemingly, with no hints or reason for me to have gotten a particular idea. I believe this phenomenon has saved my life already four separate times and about seven times has told me when people I was close to or just knew for a short while had suddenly passed on, expired, or -o put it simply-died.

I knew when a murderer was coming along a path before I saw him and hid along the cliffside, ( I saw him a few minutes later while I remained hidden and then later that day saw his photo in the newspaper for being wanted for homocide) and another time I sensed there was a person on the beach who was behind me intended to drown me (I turned, saw him looking straight at me, and decided not to go into the water there. Next day I was skimming the newspaper and saw his picture in the paper for having drowned someone else in my stead)

I couldn't have saved anyone, anyone would think I was crazy to say someon was going to do something before they had not done anything outwardly suspicious. Yet, I feel guilty that someone isn't alive because I was saved by my intuition or premonition.

Much later, I instantly knew that a certain person intended to kill me, a stranger I hadn't spoken to and didn't recognize. I escaped death and found out later he was out of prison for murder and then committed a murder of another female after I escaped unharmed due to my premonition.

A few years laterI had the feeling one night I shouldn't sleep at my house and put a manikan in my bed for some unexplainable reason, then that very night someone quietly broke in through a window and scattered the manikan I left in my bed about, stealing nothing, so it would have been a murder not a burglary, and I was saved thanks to my premonition and me listening to it.

When it first started happening, when I was about 14 or 15, and I didn't tell my brother that something terrible would happen to him if he went to football practice, thinking it was just a stupid feeling.

He was permanently maimed and I wonder if he would have listened to me and stayed home had I warned him of the terrible awful feeling I had that something would happen to him which did happen.

After that, I learned to listen to the warnings given by my visions and/or gut feelings.

Always listen to your gut feeling or psychic whisperer.

How does it work? I believe it has to do with the fact that we are all connected like islands are connected by the floor beneath the sea.

'and I believe time is an illusion therefore we can know both the future and the past in minute amounts. Yet, often we do not know important things and things seem to go wrong. I wish I could have even stronger powers than I do but I am grateful for what I do have.

People who have just visit me and what is eerie sometimes people who died years ago visit me in a similar fashion. Whats weird about it is its almost the same feeling I get when I am about to run into someone or hear from someone I haven't heard from in ages when the dead visit me. Maybe it means I need to be careful or I will be in the same spirit plane without a body as they are! Who knows? I never find out because when the dead come to me in my thoughts or dreams that way I suddenly become really cautious for a while. I won't go out late at night and I'll lock the doors and be careful about standing on a stool, etc.

Do I sound crazy? I hope not because I don't think it is crazy at all to listen to your intuitions, premonitions, and what not. I think it is crazy not to! After all, listening to my inner warnings has left me among the living enough times to convince me of it being a valid source of dependable information.

Dependable enough for me to listen to but not to warn others not very close to me because they'll just think I belong in some loony bin. Telling others could make people think you're nuts. Sometime, you have a very strong feeling maybe we should a) tell close people who accept you and won't judge you or b) write it down, seal it in an envelope and have it postmarked with a date after its sealed by the post office so when it does come true you can have proof that you predicted it.

Perhaps one day your ability will save your life or the life of a loved one. Whats most important is that you trust these visions be they via a dream or during waking moments. Follow your guts and if you are meant to avoid a tragedy, you will.

No I think stuff like that is bs. If you did ever get the thing you wanted then it was either coincidental or you were also doing something tangible to get it at the time. I believe though that "visualization" can be effectively used to focus your mind and prepare your body to do something, but I don't believe that it can magically make things happen through our imaginary psychic abilities. We live in a real universe, not an imaginary one.

Well, I kind of predicted my sister's death. It actually happened while it was occurring but I guess it counts. I can do real simple things like predict some episodes of Family Guy. I've predicted my mother's post traumatic stress the list goes on really...
