Are there any animals that do not sleep?
Sharks sleep whilst swimming.
And I was hoping for an animal with a more advanced nervous system than a jellyfish. Sorry but it made me think a bit more

For the most part every single animal sleeps, it is just their sleep is different than ours. Some animals sleep only for a moment and unless you knew what you were looking at you would not have even noticed that they were sleeping. Some animals have the ability to shut off half of their brain at a time to keep them alive but still rest (sharks for example-kinda like sleep walking, but its sleep swimming). Some animals, such as living coral and jelly fish also "sleep" but is more of a body at rest instead of a "brain" sleep.
Sleep is required for all animals, without it their body and or brain would suffer damage from the stress of go go go.
Just remember that sleeping can be very different for animal to animal.

All animals sleep, but the concept of sleep is different for each animal. No animal could keep going constantly without any way to conserve energy.
Some animals can shut off half of their brain at a time, which allows them to navigate whilst still enabling them to sleep (dolphins, for example). Others only sleep soundly when another herd member is awake to keep watch for predators (horses, for example). Some merely rest for a matter of minutes, at regular intervals (shrews)

Cats (don't know the exact hours, though). Ferrets (can range from 16-20 hrs/day). Any animal, really, that can be defined as crepusecular will sleep more, since they are only active at dawn and dusk, usually.

I'm not completely sure about animals who do NOT sleep at all, but these are a few animals who sleep VERY little.
Giraffe – sleeps about 1.9 hours
Horse - sleeps about 2.9 hours
Donkey – sleeps about 3.1 hours
Sheep – sleeps about 3.8 hours
Cow – sleeps about 3.9 hours

Most animals sleep, dolphins do sleep, they just close one part of the brain at a time.
I think all animals sleep, not sure.

I'm not sure if sharks do - they need to keep moving to maintain a flow of water through their gills. However, this does not negate the possibility that they can sleep on the move.
