Why is Obama pretending he didn't announce a comprehensive new strategy for Afghanistan in March?

Here he is in March announcing his new strategy:

Here's his right-hand man six months later saying they're starting from scratch:

Does he not know that we have these new things called internets?

Update:

Gadfly, check the links.

That's his chief of staff saying it, not an "enemy"

Update 2:

Crabwriter, again I must ask you to check the link. This is the first sentence of Obama's March speech:

"Good morning. Today, I am announcing a comprehensive, new strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan."

Pretty straightforward, don't you think?

Because he believes it will not benefit him politically and the media is conveniently ignoring it to make him look "more nuanced and thoughtful" than Bush.

Because that's not what Obama said. He did announce that he was going to reverse the GOP. He put and end to their policy of protecting al-Caida by refusing to commit forces to Afghanistan and avoiding any effort to go after the terrorist bases in Pakistan.

Obama ALSO said he would be working with the Pentagon to develop a new strategy--not that he was putting it into place at that time. In fact, he specifically said his administration was DEVELOPING a new strategy.

Unlike the conservatives, he took the time to study the situation and get the facts. Also, he announced he was doing so in March--instead of lying and doing it in sevret the way the Republicans did in Iraq.

The bad part is THAT strategy was actually formulated by the Bush Administration. Obama's Administration asked them not to release it, so they didn't. Obama's Administration is less than forthcoming with the facts.

    Because he LIES!

He once again sold the people a bill of goods without backing it up.

I don't think he's the one pretending he didn't announce a new strategy earlier. It's his enemies who are pretending Obama hasn't already done more to address the Afghanistan problem than George W. Bush managed to do in seven long wasted years.

Polls said that they didn't like that new strategy so he has to pretend like he didn't do it and do it again.

Oh you bitter Republicans. You lost and you only look desperate and out of ideas when you complain about such little issues after the 8 years of hell from Bush.

Unless you guys start using logic and reasoning and stop being so one-sided..you'll lose big again in 2012. I don't think you people will learn though.

That was before the fraudulent election. He doesn't know who's in power to decide with them how to proceed. It does make sense to me.
