Can you define the role of marriage for the Christian wife?

Proverbs chapter 31:10:31 gives you an idea of what a capable wife is.

She viewed her husband as her spiritual head, embracing her God-given role as his helper by supporting him in his decisions. So she met this potential challenge to her faith with simple obedience.

21 Be in subjection to one another in fear of Christ. 22 Let wives be in subjection to their husbands as to the Lord, 23 because a husband is head of his wife as the Christ also is head of the congregation, he being a savior of [this] body. 24 In fact, as the congregation is in subjection to the Christ, so let wives also be to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, continue loving YOUR wives, just as the Christ also loved the congregation and delivered up himself for it, 26 that he might sanctify it, cleansing it with the bath of water by means of the word, 27 that he might present the congregation to himself in its splendor, not having a spot or a wrinkle or any of such things, but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 In this way husbands ought to be loving their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself, 29 for no man ever hated his own flesh; but he feeds and cherishes it, as the Christ also does the congregation,

Ephesians 5:21-29

And Jehovah God went on to say: “It is not good for the man to continue by himself. I am going to make a helper for him, as a complement of him.”

Genesis 2:18

YOU wives, be in subjection to [your] husbands, as it is becoming in [the] Lord.

Colossians 3:18

Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you" (Genesis 3:16). submit to your husbands in all things Eph 5:22-24 “Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let wives be to their own husbands in everything” (Eph 5:24).

Christian wife is to submit to her husband in all matters just as church submit to christ in all matters.She must love and respect him.It's the wife who has to voluntarily submit,and the husband who should volantarily lead.All this is done out of love of christ,and thus protect and propagate the natural order god created for the society.God bless

As a Christian wife, I am to love God and my husband.God created a husband and a wife to share in the goals and responsibilities of a marriage, but have different roles.Together they compliment one another and work together in harmony. God equips men and women for various tasks, but all of these tasks should lead to the same goal of honoring God. The theory in many books is that God made Eve out of Adam's side to be his partner and symbolize that in a marriage you become one. "Husbands love your wives just as Christ does the church and gave himself up for her, to make her holy by the washing of water through the word." (Ephesians 5:25-26)" ...And the wife must respect her husband". (Ephesians 5:33) - I think it's taken literally that it means that she is to submit to him. I personally feel like because woman is made from man's side she is to stand by him in thick and thin, she is to respect his beliefs, values, goals, etc but she is to be his partner and help and guide him as much as he guides her. Truthfully this is the first time I've actually thought of my role as Christian WIFE, instead of just a Christian. I think I'll ask my Pastor, and my grandma (a christian wife) about this.

the catholic church say the wife must submit and do whatever she is told.

if the husband beats and abuses her, the wife must stay with him as a submissive dutiful wife - or she will go to hell.
