Can we agree we all want the same things?

We all want the "Other Guys" to spend less. Does that make a point of agreement among us all? And if it does what is stopping us from finding other points of common ground and exploiting our unity for the better.

I don't know, but contention on Capitol Hill seems to be a sport and the thrill of knocking down an opponent far exceeds any thoughts of duty or oaths they swore. The should be in a cage match, not in Washington.

i do not think that we can all agree on much of anything

and that is precisly why the federal government was restricted from taking much action within the borders of the states

congress is well outside its bounds, and has clearly been so

since the advent of the new deal

the economy cannot recover within many years

and we will probably have to have a new currency

    this one has been rotted

i doubt that any savings in dollars will survive what is coming

    anyway

we probably do not want the same things,

and congress presuming to know what i want,

and charging me to have it delivered

is presumptuous to the point of very hard feelings,

they ought not show up in my neighborhood after dark

    to "rolling" :

the hard core supporters of Barry, Harry, and Nan

    do not want freedom

at least they do not want it for the general population

and that is the point that will percipitate the civil war, i think

We can create some huge tentacled, man eating beasts, that can eat all the unemployed. That will make the unemployment numbers look better for Obama, so he can do well in the 2010 elections; not to mention the money saved in unemployment payouts

I've been thinking on this a lot as well.

    We all want freedom

    We all want lower spending

    We all want less deficit

Let's work on the things we all want, before we pander to the needs of few.

Spend less in some areas , more in others.

So this becomes the point of contention.

If an administration does not value "unity" and implements policies that serve to divide - - then division is what we will have.

    Social constructs.

    Propaganda.

    Misinformation.

    Miseducation.

    Misrepresentation.

I would like to think that if we could agree, we would have done it by now.

We're not even proficient at agreeing to disagree.

Do you live on this planet? Most people seem to want someone else to pay for them.

Source(s): decades studying philosophies, cultures, and social institutions began because of the confusion resulting from my military experience under the shadow of neo-Marxist propaganda disseminated from universities
