Why I am unable to find the file that my antivirus is showing to be infected ?

I use WIN XP and Norton Antivirus. It detected an infected file but was unable to neither fix it nor delete it. It shows the location of the file as below -

c:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-3831168374- 6366832213- 401709631- 7781\dllrun32.exe is infected with the W32.Pilleuz virus.

I am trying to delete it manually but not able to find it through search. This is really strange. Although the PC is otherwise working fine but this virus alert keeps bugging me whenever I scan some file for a virus. Please help.

Update:

I have already tried searching this file through every possible method that many of you have suggested. But I could not find even the directory where this exe file is shown to exist. Even when I type 'dir recyclers' on DOS prompt it does not show this directory. This is not a hidden file. This is probably some virtual file.

Update 2:

O.K. guys.....File Seeker found it ! But now when I am deleting it, it says the file is being used somewhere. I have diabled auto-protect of my antivirus, closed all programs, searched Task Manager, but I can't find the program that might be using rundll32.exe.

Forget about Norton and run Malwarebytes:

Try doing search for dllrun32.exe. Make sure you are able to view the hidden files and folders. If you're not sure, check on the settings by opening My Computer, and clicking Tool, Folder Options, click on the View tab, and check Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives. Hope that helps!!

You may not be able to find it because of where it is. Try going to options and show hidden files. Microsoft hides important files so you cant accidentally delete them.

Why not copy it the entire string (up to the .exe) and put it into the address window? If it shows, see if you can delete it, and if so, go to the Recycle Bin (where it goes upon deletion) and delete it again.

also forget about Windows Search and try File Seeker

    or Everything

both are free and leave Windows Search in the dust.
