Would you WANT to forgive him?

Lets say a man murders an entire family of innocent people living good lives. He escape unpunished and due to a loophole in the law has escape having to face punishment, but he truly regrets what he did and is now a differant person, he is a good person. Would you forgive him? Would you WANT to forgive him?

Update:

Keep in mind that in this scenario, he is a good person in present time, he would never even think of doing something like that, he would even sacrifice his own life to save a stranger, would you still punish him for what he did when he was a differant person?

Update 2:

Lets say it was your choice whether he faces jail time or execution or is let go for his actions, also, half the question is would you WANT to, you might not have the ability to forgive him but would you want to forgive him?fore, he has grown,

No, I beleive he should be put to death the same way he put that family to death. Some people are sick. Once you kill someone you wouldn't be considered a good person ever again. I hope his *** fries in hell. I can't wait until he burns. Stupid betch. lol, sorry but I bet if someone murdered someone from your family, you'd feel the same way to if you don't already.

some thing that got here approximately over 25 years in the past almost ruined my existence. every time i presumed approximately it, the hatred back. even regardless of the indisputable fact that the guy in charge in no way asked for my forgiveness, i eventually did. somebody else in touch did ask and by technique of that factor I had enable bypass of the animosity. There are some issues which happen in existence that could in no way be forgiven or forgotten. i'm happy I chosen to no longer enable it wreck what years I even have left.

You always have to forgive. It doesn't change the fact that he should b punished. Even though he truly regretful he should still face punishment for his actions, if not here he will in the end.

Regardless of how he feels now about what he's done, he still did it. He's a grown man and should have known better. Killing people is CLEARLY a bad thing to just about EVERY civilized person. Maybe he feels bad about what he did because he almost got caught. He deserves no sympathy.

I'm a big fan of instant justice. But I don't think much of tracking people down many years later. I'm not going to punish a 70 yeaer old for what a stupid 20 year old did.

if he was a Muslim . the family of the dead have 2 chooses either to take blood money or give the death sentence . but forgiveness is also an option.

  • I'm not a terribly forgiving person, but I wouldn't wish him dead. I just wouldn't want to have anything to do with him, would lock my doors at night, and not concern myself with it if it wasn't my problem.

Why would this person need my forgiveness anyway?... theres a lot of people out there, have one of them do it.

If he was really a good person he would confess to the crime and offer to do the time...if it was my family he killed...it would be very hard to forgive and very easy to take revenge. But you never know...

No I would not want to forgive. Forgiveness of a murderer is a stupid and immoral thing to do.

Nope, would not forgive him, since there is no hell, i would just hope that if anything happens to him, he will die, and he will be reincarnated into a cockroach.
