Is this just part of my OCD?

I've recently started digging my nails into my skin, (everywhere) and I've read that it could be because of my OCD. It's like a release when I'm depressed. I don't really understand it, and I don't know if it's something I should mention to my therapist, or if I should just not worry about it, since it's not like I'm slitting my wrists or anything.

Update:

I don't want her or my parents to flip out on me

It's pain from pleasure. You might be depressed. It's the same reason people cut. OCD medications could possibly caused this as a side effect, but that isn't that likely.

Hellow she needs to know what is going on with you. You need to tell her before symptoms get worse.
