Issues with my father.?

Okay, I have had a rough two years with him. Basically, he walked out on he and my mom for another woman. I had no contact with him for about a year, and then he seemed to be interested again in my life. Recently he married another woman and has begun to lose interest in me again. I have had multiple school events where I performed either singing or acting in the past month and he has not shown up after my asking him to come.

Okay, so this weekend is his birthday and his mother is throwing him a party.

One of my friends at school is taking a group of people to visit a college that I am seriously considering attending. (I am a senior in High School)

I feel as if I am justified with not attending the party because he hasn't been to any of my events.

What would be the best decision?

honestly, as a father, i would be proud if my daughter thought of her future and presented it to me in a fashion that said she would come but this is something that would be irresponsible to miss.

also, since he hasn't been there for you, you should feel no responsibility for him in anyway, he is only there for you when he wants to be.

do what is best for you, be true to yourself. good luck
