Right we had a small accident with one of the laptops, involving the power cable, a dog and a drop from height.
Anyway the screen cracked and now it is bleeding a green colour in the screen.
What is this liquid? what is the chemical?
I'm insanely curious and need to know
Oh i know its LCD and that it is a fluid but i'm a chemist/chemical engineer and want to know what chemical it is. What ar the crystals?

MBBA is the name of the liquid which came out you laptop screen.
N-(4-Methoxybenzylidene)-4-butylaniline (MBBA) is an organic compound often used in liquid crystals.

You most likely have a LCD screen, which stands for "liquid crystal display". You are seeing the "liquid" crystal stuff that is leaking from the screen.

It's the liquid in the computer/screen that you are seeing. The only reason I know that, is because you said you know it's an LCD.
