How much is 6!/4!?

    6! / 4! =

    1 x 2 x 3 x 4 x 5 x 6

    ------------------------------- = 5 x 6 = 30

    1 x 2 x 3 x 4

    6! / 4!

    6! = 6*5*4*3*2*1

    4! = 3*4*2*1

    6 ! = 6*5*4!

    6! / 4! = 6*5*4! / 4!

    30

    6!=1*2*3*4*5*6

    4!=1*2*3*4

    cancel out 1*2*3*4 and you're left with 5*6=30

    Gamma(7)/Gamma(5)

    you plug this into the definition of the Gamma function

    Gamma(z) = int((t^(z-1)exp(-t)dt,0,Infinity) [you should be able to integrate by parts quite easily here since z is in R^+]

    plug in 7 for z, then divide by the answer when you plug 5 in for z

    I got 30.
