is there a setting on facebook so that it doesn't tell everyone when you become friends with someone else or leave them a comment?

    Settings--> Security--> Privacy--> News Feed and Wall--> ...UNCHECK "Change relationship status"

    (Check or uncheck other items as desired per your question...)

    Try fiddling with the notification settings under settings. Or just e-mail them if it's personal!!

    Yes there is. Go under your account settings and un-check the boxes.

    If there is I have yet to find it :S

    I just go to my profile wall and remove all of the actions it says I have done.

    no unfrotunately there is not you just have to remove them from your profile its a real pain
