Why don't some republicans admit that if a preggywomen can't pay for an abortion, then she can't afford a kid?

It all goes much deeper than that. The root of the issue is that people believe lies about abortion and these lies cause them to be against abortion. Some people even take a very strong stance against abortion the whole time not realizing that the basis of their opinion is lies. This is true of all pro-life people, from those on Yahoo Answers to politicians. All people need to get past the lies and see abortion for what it really is, a simple procedure that prevents an unwanted pregnancy from becoming an unwanted child.

I'm glad she can't get an abortion, suck it up! Get help if you have to, just don't abuse the system! Family will help! She shouldn't kill her child because she was being stupid and not using Birth Control and a condom!

I just turned 21 two weeks ago, I have a 4 month old that I am raising on my own with no money or help from the father. The father met her once, hasn't been around since. I was working for Cal Fire, got laid off and now can't go back to work because of the economy ( thanks to Obama). I may not have all the money in the world but I have friends and family that help. If I didn't have family (like if she didn't) to help I would have friends that would. I go to college 5 days a week and shooting practice on the weekends and my baby is doing excellent! I still have time to come home and take care of her, bathe her everyday, and tuck her into bed! It is possible to raise a child alone! Its called HELP until you have your crap together! Oh and it's called being on Birth Control and using a condom too! Or just not have sex!

My daughter wasn't planned, but guess what? It was my fault for having sex and not using a condom not hers, and she deserves the life she has...

Why is that the only scenario? She can give the baby up for adoption. Heck, she can often get funds through the adoption agencies to help her through the pregnancy until she gives it up for adoption.

THAT is the better scenario.

BTW, Except when the mother's life is at risk (and that is VERY rare), abortion is an "elective" surgical procedure. NO elective medical or surgical should be covered by the government (aka public option), because if it is elective that means the person could do just fine without having it done. If it's not a matter of saving life or limb, it should not be covered.

They would just argue that if she can't afford a baby she shouldn't have had sex. Don't forget that they oppose sex education and the use of birth control as well, unwed motherhood is a the punishment a woman gets for not being a good little girl and doing what she's told in Church.

Or adoption? There are options other than throwing a baby in a garbage dump or aborting it.

I think women should have to get a permit to have a baby.

THink about it; we need a license to drive, a license to own a firearm....why not require that potential parnets graduate from a parneting class then have the financial resources as well as the support system from family to SUPPORT A CHILD?!
