I need to activate Windows XP on the Toshiba Netbook I just bought. Can't find a place to give info.?
I just bought a Toshiba Netbook with Windows XP. It didn't ask me to activate XP during set up. Does XP still need to be activated? I followed all directions that I've found but no where in 'All Programs' is there a place to activate. Can anyone offer any info? Much appreciated...THANKS!
I bought it new, online. There is no KEY in the systems tray. It doesn't ask on start up to activate it. Could it already be activated by default? I'm not sure if Windows XP is even supported anymore. Maybe that's why I see no place to activate it....I follow all the links, but 'Activate' just isn't there. ..THANKS!

If it needs to be activated, there is generally a KEY (little yellow key) in the system tray. Also on every startup it will tell you activate it. If you restart this should show up. Where did you buy it? New or Used? if it was used or you got it at a store selling used equipment they might have already activated it.
